Le Monde de la Musique - July 2006 - Mars Desmet - The Eaten Heart
This medieval itinerary achieves a mysterious and lyrical climate, making this piece a fascinating discovery.

The programme is articulated by the sublime performances of the narrator Guillaume Edé and singer Pierre Bourhis. The narration is poised, the tone perfectly adapted to the rhythm and drama of the story. The singing is admirably confident and convincing throughout the whole of the troubadour melodies. Katia Caré brings an aura of strangeness wonderfully suitable to the spirit of the work. The same observations apply to the instrumental accompaniment, always perfectly dosed. Medieval discography has not enjoyed such a passionate realisation devoted to the world of the trouveres for many years.
